Conflict Competence: Managing Conflict Practicum (for all Faculty and Health Professionals)

Event Date

Location
UC Davis Health Campus

Co-sponsored by Faculty and Professional Development in the Office of Academic Personnel.

Conflict has the power to lower morale, reduce productivity, and cause challenges for the department climate. However, if managed well, conflict can strengthen relationships, foster creativity, and contribute to a high functioning, successful team. This interactive series of three modules and one practicum provides tools, techniques, and skills to effectively prevent and resolve conflicts. You will learn how to recognize conflict before it escalates, navigate interpersonal dynamics, identify core needs of learners, build trust on your team, and navigate difficult conversations. Participants can attend any or all of the modules.

In this live interactive session, there will be a chance to practice conflict management strategies using scenarios, role plays, and case discussions. Lunch provided.
