Katherine A. Greenwood

Katherine Greenwood, MA, JD, PhD serves as the Director of the Ombuds Office at UC Davis. She is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner, Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, and mediator. Previously, Katherine served as the Ombuds at University of Colorado Denver|Anschutz. Prior to stepping into the ombuds role, Katherine was an international maritime attorney working in New York, San Francisco and London. Additionally, she taught postgraduate legal courses in at Loyola University Chicago. In addition to her ombuds duties, Katherine conducts numerous trainings in conflict management, leadership development, and communication strategies.

Lauren Bloom, Associate Ombuds

Lauren Bloom, MA, MSSW serves as Associate Ombudsperson of the Ombuds Office at UC Davis. She is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner and has previously been the Associate Ombudsperson at UC Berkeley’s Staff Ombuds Office and served as the Ombudsperson/ Director at The University of Texas at Austin and at the Texas State Lottery Commission. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Monique Garcia

Monique Garcia is the Ombuds Office Coordinator. Monique has over a decade of experience coordinating events and administrative projects, including some of Yolo County's signature events such as the Yolo County Fair Gala. She enjoys being involved in her community and has also served as a director of local non-profits. Monique provides comprehensive administrative support to the Office of the Ombuds. She is responsible for managing the administrative duties of the office, including budgetary and informational support, and coordinates the scheduling and confidential intake of Ombuds Office visitors.
