UC Davis Safety Services provides reporting forms for concerns and incidents in the areas of animal care, bio-safety, employee hazards, facilities management, fire prevention, risk management, storm damage and workers compensation, and provides a list of Safety Services staff members who can assist you with respect to different safety concerns.  In an emergency, call 911. Workplace Violence

Workplace Violence Information and Resources This website provides definitions of disruptive, threatening and violent behavior, and a brochure that provides strategies for dealing with such behavior.

UC Davis Workplace Violence Policies:

Davis Campus:  PPM 390-30 (Disruptive Behavior in the Workplace). Employees or students found to have engaged in disruptive behavior may be subject to discipline for misconduct or corrective action for performance deficiencies pursuant to separate policies.

Health System:  Policy 1616, Hospital Policies and Procedures (Violence and Hate Incidents in the Workplace).  The Health System’s policy for preventing and responding to workplace violence and hate incidents by or against faculty, staff, students, and volunteers.

Sexual Assault, Intimate Partner Violence and Stalking

Center for Advocacy Resources and Education (CARE) provides free, confidential crisis intervention, advocacy and accompaniment services to any UC Davis student, staff or faculty member who is a victim of sexual assault, intimate partner violence and stalking. A victim advocate is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency response to survivors who have been sexually assaulted within the past 72 hours. 

An advocate with CARE can be reached by calling their business line at (530) 752-3299 or, for urgent matters that require immediate assistance, contact the 24-hour CARE answering service at (866) 515-0155 to reach the on-call victim advocate.
